That would be very nice... i got the sport steering wheel now and would love to have that msport steering wheel that is a bit thicker to hold and more comfortable.  I guess I have to start looking for that steering wheel.. the sooner the better.

Steering wheel --> Brand new, manufacture date March 2013, off eBay. $672 (dealer price, about $1385)
Trim, new --> Dealer $216 (can re use sport wheel trim, but it will be different)
Multifunction buttons, new --> Dealer (carry over if you have the sport wheel), $152 (Dealer price $180)
Airbag, used --> eBay, 2011 328i sport. (carries over if you have the sport wheel) $351 (dealer price ~900)

Total spent: ~1400.

If you have the sport wheel/airbag all you need is the m3 wheel. If you have the flat/ugly wheel like I do/did 1400 is a pretty competitive price.

I'll put together a DIY if you're interested.

For that price I'd get the BMW Electronic Performance Steering Wheel... Oh wait, I already did  ;D ;D ;D

Steering wheel price guide:

non-sport < M sport < BMW Performance < M3  - Also add paddles to the steering wheels and it bumps the price by ~300. You can buy an M sport wheel w/o paddles (with paddle provisions, the two wheels ARE different and one is not compatible with paddles (M/T wheel)) and add M3 paddles which are much nicer for around $300 or less, new costs about $300.

This is the one I purchased, but at the time the price was much lower, won via 'best offer'

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/BRAND-NEW-BMW-M3-E90-Steering-Wheel-DCT-Paddles-E91-E92-E93-E87-E88-M-Tech-SMG-/221195807079?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33804c2967

M sport is similar to M3, but perforated leather. M3 wheel is 100% nappa leather, both feel amazing. BMW performance has lights and shit lol, shift light and a heads up display with oil temp, 0-60 times, etc, pretty cool. Youtube it, tons of vids.

Also Rob, Performance wheel is prettymuch useless on a 220hp car :P Besides, my gals all about class.
