Hahaha - I moved up here for work - My company took over a project here and i got shipped out.

You saw that thread on 1addicts about my ticket here???? I ended up getting a hefty $600-$700 fine... They wanted to suspend my license, but since i was still carrying a California one and hadn't switched to an Alberta operators permit, they had no jurisdiction, so just made my fine higher.

I am in Edmonton :-/

lol thats how it goes I guess.  If you had an alberta license you would have had a suspension and demerits for sure. You're lucky because that history won't follow you if you end up getting an alberta license

Thanks for the welcomes and compliments on the car everyone - looking forward to meeting the local BMW community!

So when is this snow supposed to subside?? The car has been parked in the garage and hasnt moved since OCTOBER! Im going stir crazy here

I am looking forward to getting out on the track at Castrol Raceway though, seems to be the only place around lcoally where you can actually strectch the cars legs???

@ Anthony: San Diego will be an amazing trip, there is so much to do there! Also, within 45 minutes of San Diego is one of the BEST driving roads in western north america! Look up "Palomar Mountain" - its a race course open to the public, about 10 total miles of road and it is INTENSE - youll have to check it out.

Welcome and great 135i!

If you have cali tags too the parking guys cant touch you either haha, so don't pay them if you get em!

This is a little unseasonally cold at the moment (the stir crazy thing is normal dont sweat it lol) but it should start to get to about -5 for the high (seasonal) and near zero in march, climbing in April. I would leave the 135i parked until late April or May though - the roads are just nasty in the spring. All the sand and gravel dumped on the roads tends to come back to haunt us...

Oh, and Edmonton = pothole city haha. Just keep an extra eye out for em when cruising, the city usually doesn't get around to fixing the majority of them until July/August, its just too overwhelming for the crews.

Cant wait to see you at a meet, love the hood!
