FS: Brand New M3 DCT Paddles perfect for retrofit
« on: February 06, 2014, 08:08:49 AM »
These are completely plug and play for cars with paddles/steptronic.
The paddles themselves are machined aluminum and have a much better look, as well as feel/action to them. Then your standard paddle
Shift action is changed to right - upshift and left - downshift, just like the M3.
The swap takes very little time to complete and is a great upgrade. These paddles will fit on OEM sports wheel or M3 steering wheel with cutouts. Looking for $150

I've test driven several cars with sport paddles (135i, 335i LCI & Pre-LCI, 335is) and own a set of these - these feel far far better!

hey guys, new to bmw so I am not sure and that is why I need to ask, I drive 2009 335d without sport package, so my steering wheel does not have paddles installed,  can I still install those and hook them up or will I have to get the new wheel before I can have paddles connected??  ps. I don't have my car at the moment as dealer is performing some warranty work so I can't check my steering wheel

You will need either the M3 or M sport steering wheel with paddle provisions to do this mod. Keep in mind there are two types of wheels, ones for manual and ones for auto. You MUST get one made for an auto trans as the manual wheels cannot be modified to accept paddles.

No problem. You can usually find them for a good price on eBay. Either new or taken from wreaked vehicles
