Meets / Re: BMW Alberta Advanced Driving School -- May 15-16, 2015

Registration closes on May 1.

The speed curbing is all in, and many other updates / changes to the track will be complete by mid-May.  The instructor's corps just went through a full-day Ross Bentley instructor's school, so we're ready for you!  Are you ready for the best two days of your life?

Meets / BMW Alberta Advanced Driving School -- May 15-16, 2015
« on: December 05, 2014, 11:46:15 AM »
The date's been set for the 2015 running of the BMW Alberta Advanced Driving School, May 15-16, at Castrol Raceway.

Further details will be announced early in the new year, but as peoples' calendars go, the earlier you know, the better.

The AADS is an accredited school, thus the tuition receipt you'll receive can be applied against your income for your 2015 taxes (AB and Federal).  The AADS is a joint-venture partnership between the BMW Clubs of Southern and Northern Alberta (ie: Calgary and Edmonton) and the instructor ranks are filled with people with significant experience on track and instructing from the right-seat.

Eurasia is less expensive than the dealerships, but close.

Triska Auto is another, run by Dan Triska, currently SE of Beaumont, but moving closer soon.

It was a phenomenal Alberta Advanced Driving School this past weekend...now just Track Junkies dates remain.  Who's coming out?

An excellent event was had by all.  Greater than one-to-one instructor / student ratio, lots of track time, plenty of skills learned, and look for this event again in late May 2015.

Why not Gateway Park on the QE II Highway (ie: the oil derrick)?

Accessed easily by anybody (from either Calgary Trail or Anthony Henday Drive), no signals, traffic, or congestion to get through when leaving.

Forgot to mention that the AADS is an accredited school, so you will receive a tax receipt for use against your 2014 income tax.

I vote for the BBS wheels.

Use the old set for use on the track -- Track Junkies events throughout the summer and the May 30-31 BMW Alberta Advanced Driving School.
